I'm looking to get a cheapish macbook and i've seen one on ebay for £95
with 20minutes left, its faulty. This is the fault

When switched on: power light comes on, fans start, hard disc and dvd drive move.

Fault: Screen remains blank - no light.

is this a cheap fix and how easy

No way of telling how much is wrong with it. An unplugged cable could do that. It's more likely that it's a gpu problem, meaning you would need a new logic board. If you couldn't answer your own question, it's probably a bad buy. People who buy these and repair them likely buy many to reclaim different parts, although logic boards in good condition are probably the most valuable component.
