I am getting a faint and high pitched whine when I scroll with two fingers on the trackpad, and tap with one finger.

Anyone know what this is?

I have an August 2009 MBP17 with 3.06, 8GB RAM (Aftermarket), INtel X25M 80Gb in the main slot, 500Gb Seagate in the optibay.

It's not the mods as I have had them for over a year without any problem. Just found the sound today.

Yeah I have the same thing for my 2011 MBP.

You mean when you scroll and tap, you hear a high pitched sound like literally scrolling right?

It doesnt happen always either, but sometimes.

Wow ****. I read this thread a few minutes ago, thought "eh nothing relevant to me", then just now I muted my music for a second and for the first time ever I heard this noise when scrolling on my 2011 13" MBP lol.

Also, sounds crazy, but depending on the webpage the volume of the noise is different. On MacRumors it's almost inaudible, while scrolling the Apple website is significantly louder.
