Hey y'all!

I have a 15-inch 2012 MacBook Pro and just recently I've been having trouble with video playback on Hulu plus. At multiple random points the video will freeze but the audio will continue, and at other times the video pixilates and the show becomes unrecognizable - it's like a green/pink pixeled splatter on the screen. All software (flash and silverlight) is up-to-date. The funny thing is this does not occur with my brothers 2012 MacBook Air.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Some of the finest minds in tech are assembled here on this site and no one has any advice for me? Shocked, I say!:p

Since it's most likely an issue with Flash, have you tried using Google Chrome and seeing how that goes with Hulu? Since it uses an embedded flash it won't be relying on the version you have installed. If it's clear on Chrome but not on other browsers, there's an issue with Flash. If it's not clear in Chrome either, there's another issue to be addressed but not sure what it would be if it happens across various browsers.

I uninstalled flash and reinstalled it, all my browsers - Safari, Chrome, Firefox - continue to have this problem. Hulu is the only site I have problems with. YouTube, Crackle, and any other video players I encounter are all fine.

Here's a screen grab of what it looks like.

Alrighty that was my final guess. Looks like we'll have to wait for Hulu to get their **** together.

True but I wouldn't hold my breath. Some of the details that have surfaced with speculation of a buyout has me worried. Oh well, I've always got Netflix... I hope!

Occurs on my computer… I just refresh the page. Annoying I know. Haven't found a fix but it's an issue with Flash for sure. Only occurs on Hulu though.

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Flash. (Right-click in video player frame and click on "Settings".)
