I have a Macbook Pro Early 2011 15" (2.3Ghz, 6750m, etc...). I had recently ordered this product: http://tinyurl.com/7j267ow from Amazon. This Hard Drive caddy seemed to get enough good reviews from several buyers so I bought it. Tonight I installed my Momentus XT 500Gig harddrive in the enclosure and proceeded to re-install the caddy in the reverse order in which I took out my SuperDrive. Being very cautious in doing so, I completed the installation of the caddy and proceeded to close up my MBP.
I opened my computer, inserted my Mountain Lion USB install and held down option. I then pressed the power button.

To my immediate shock, the sleep indicator light promptly turned on and then immediately went dark along with the familiar click of the hard disks; most commonly heard when you hold down the powerbutton whilst the computer is normally on.
Shocked by this, I proceeded to hastily re-open my computer, unplug the battery, and examine it. After finding nothing wrong I proceeded to dismantle the caddy and check for any errors. Once completing the check and re-installed the caddy with even more care than before and connected the battery once again.
I put the back on without screws (for fear it wouldn't work again) and proceeded to try and turn on the computer. This time to dice, not even the sleep indicator turned on.

At this point my stress levels went up, and I proceeded to re-install my original SuperDrive into my MBP. After putting the back cover on the proceeded to turn on the computer.
Like the first attempt the sleep indicator light turned on, but then almost immediately turned off with the sound of the hard disk stopping.

Thanks for reading all of that, sorry it was quite long but any help would be hugely appreciated :D! I have a feeling I might have caused a short somewhere along the lines, but alas I couldn't find anything out of the ordinary.

Note: I have keep the power limited to only the battery while turning on my computer.

Help is dire and would be greatly appreciated!
