what is the alternative to smartFTP for windows for an intel based macbook pro (MBP)

thanks, Im new to FTP and my college offers space for a student homepage, so Im looking into an FTP client (app)

thanks, Im a newb, love it tho. I D/L'd pureFTP manager, but couldnt figure out how to get to access the school website, Im gonna post some screenshots in a sec.

these screenshots are the directions to use smartFTP for windows, too bad they dont have a mac alternative.
help!

I use cyberduck for my ftp needs. Works brilliantly for what I need.

I find it much simpler than smartFTP to use as well.
 
well i D/L'd Fetch 5.2.1 for free for educational purposes from the fetch website. quite easy too !

although now Im having issues with login.

I enter the info in the app shown here





and I get this



I know Im doing things correctly.

could the server be down ??

I hate learning by myself ! hahaah help me !:confused:
 
yea it says use the same login and password you use for your student login, I dont know this is a shot of my student login page




its the same login and pass im using in fetch for SURE !!!

but its still says invalid password.

grrrrr
 
is it free ? im a poor college student, even 20 bux is out of my budget


edit:

from the IT admin "Someone got back to us about this today (Monday was a holiday) and it appears the student FTP server has been having some problems. It should be back up soon."


so Im good, I knew I was doing the right thing !

fetch seems to work well !
