Does anyone know of something so I can install a standard display in my laptop? I replace one or two panels in laptops every day after folks break them and I've noticed that Apple uses an absurdly short ribbon ribbon to connect internal displays. Has anyone replaced the 1440x900 display with a standard LED 1920x1080 display? Most every x86 based laptop out there can have a higher resolution display installed, as long as the display itself fits. (I've upgraded hundreds of Windows/Linux machines)
1440x900 isn't really something I'd like to live with and 1680x1050 is sort of a wonky resolution as well. I do some full HD video editing and being able to do that and view full HD in the native resolution would be nice.
Any suggestions?
