Guys I need help, I can’t power on my MacBook Pro, when I click the power button it just flashes the screen that shows it’s out of juice and needs to be connected to power but the MacBook is connected to the wall charger so I don’t know why it’s not powering/charging it. Can someone please help me power on my MacBook?

Have you tried using a different cable?

I don’t have a different cable to try, are you saying it might be the cable itself? It’s in like new condition and doesn’t have any wear and tear so I don’t see why it would be the cable

The likelihood of it being the cable is very low. Even though it looks new, there can be an internal problem that can’t be seen. Again, the chances are very low for such a problem. However, as a non-Official Apple tech on MacRumors, checking the cable is a step that is suggested.

If you use that same plug on another Apple device does it charge?

the brick itself is a usb c brick so I cant try to charge my iPhone with it by plugging in the iPhone charging cable instead of the usb c MacBook charging cable as it obviously won’t fit

what else could be causing this issue? I literally used the MacBook Pro last night and all was working well

Absolutely could be the cable.

I've one cable that worked fine for charging my keyboard, was hopeless at charging my MBP. Was almost brand new as well.

Same deal, worked then stopped.

USB C cables can be very annoying.
