macbook pro june 2012 no longer has the glowing keyboard?

The lights on the keyboard no longer are turing on? What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do?

Look in your System Preferences under keyboard, the below screenshot is from 10.5.8, yours might be different though, you can also try the F8-F9-F10 keys.

Thanks I must be blind but on my keyboard both F5 and F6 control the lights duh sorry for asking stupid question.

I am on an older system so it is different, so did you manage to fix it?
