Hi

I’m new here as my Macbook pro has just stopped working. It’s a 13” retina A1502 Mid 2014 and the key board just randomly stopped working properly. Some of the keys don’t respond, and some type two keys. The trackpad is fine.

I have found some videos online of people replacing a cable on early 2015 models, but they aren’t the same as mine (mine doesn’t have a cable running over the top of the battery).

I’ve attached a photo of the area in my laptop. Any ideas which cable is for the keyboard and is it worth me just trying to reseat it or replace the whole keyboard?

The genius bar told me i’d have to replace the whole top of the computer costing about £400 so hopefully i can fix it myself.
