macbook pro keyboard issues

Hello,
My macbook pro is having some keyboard issues. I have the 2.16 ghz 1gb ram 100gb Hd model from a few years ago with fully backlit keyboard. The problem started a while ago some keys just stop responding and I didnt know why I sitll dont know why. My keyboard backlight still works fine and there are no issues with that part. Computer performance is fine as well. I am currently at 10.5.6 I believe, so would anyone know how to resolve this problem. I cant afford a new mac at this time and would like to fix this one.

Which keys are they? Possible liquid spill? Replacement keyboards are pretty cheap on eBay if you don't want to replace your whole computer.
