Macbook Pro late 2008 freezes.

Last couple of days i been suffering from OSX on my macbook pro totally freezing and nothing works except what ever sound i was playing.

What could be causing this issue?

Does it have anything to do what happened with my computer couple of days ago as shown in this short video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVzfpa2--ik

You know, i've had some issues with my late 08 mpb some days ago.

It all started with no keyboard light, then worst performance, some glitches..

Then one day i just couldn't log in.. After checking disk utility with recovery hd, it said "you are scrued. File system failed".

I've manage to copy all my stuff from bootcamp win, then i've formatted mac partition and re-install os x.

Now everything works smoothly, even keyboard backlight.

I suggest you back-up all your important data and re-install os. If problem stays, it is hardware failure. If just freezing - most likely hdd, if some weird video stuff, like in youtube video, then it is video card. Although it is less likely. I think some software gone crazy)

Problem solved after booting into safe mode
