Does anyone know if the logic boards in the late 2013 13” MacBook Pro and the mid 2014 13” MacBook Pro are compatible? I know there’s very little difference between the two models but I can’t find a straight answer online. I’d like to put the logic board from a 2013 with into the 2014 body and vice versa.

It's highly possible seeing as it's the same Apple model identifier between the two. But if you're doing like for like, the differences ought to be minimal enough that, at worst, you might need to order one or two spare parts from iFixit.

If you were doing between Mid 2012/Early 2013 and Late 2013/Mid 2014, that'd be a different story altogether. And definitely don't try interchanging components between either of those and the Early 2015 model.

Thanks, that’s what I figured. I guess the only way to really find out is to give it a go. I’ll update this thread once they arrive.

You might be able to find a leaked service manual online. I'd imagine that they have the same service manual. If anything, there might be slight differences for one or two connectors. I'm sure more research can be done on this. Hell, you might be able to call up an Apple Authorized Service Provider and see if they know.
