MacBook Pro load up

I got my MBP not even a year ago, and it recently started flashing on and off right before the log in page starts up, I don't to know what it could be. Anyone have an idea? After it blinks it works perfectly fine.
Also my battery life drops quickly, for example from 50 percent to 35 percent in the span of 20 minutes. Should I be concerned about this also? I haven't even had my computer for a year, so please someone give me advice on what I should do. Should I take it in??

If you're battery's dropping that fast and you're not doing anything intensive, definitely take it in to get it checked over. As for the screen flickering, it could be a GPU issue, but I'd expect that manifest itself during use of the computer, not as it's booting up.
