I was wondering how many people have a logic boards fail in their MacBook Pros. Please include
Year:
Model:
Actual Issue (video card, resistors, etc):
Cost to Fix:

I've invested a lot of $$$ in my MacBook as I'm sure many of you have so I'm trying to gauge how durable these laptops are. I serviced 3 recently all from 2010-2011 and they still work great.

I think your clutching at straws trying to gain any useful stats or reassurances here

Mac's fair better than most in 1st year and similar to any other premium device in 2nd or 3rd after this it's anyone's guess especially with newer gen laptops

I guess you’re probably right. I see the lack of responses as a positive thing.

I've had two fail on my late 2013/ early 2014 rMBP15. The first one at near 3 years was covered by apple care, second one a month later by the repair warranty. Cost me 0$ but some of my time. The charges totaled about $400 and then $600, but was all covered by warranty. They had to send it to the Texas depot for repair, couldn't be done at the local store for some technical reason.

I've had 3 or 4 other Mac Pros over the years that are still running without repair, other than battery, as hand me downs. We thought my 2008 has a failure, but it turned out to be a software issue.

Year: Early 2015
Model: Macbook Pro Early 2015
Actual Issue (video card, resistors, etc): Logic Board Failed. Failed within less than 6 months of purchasing it. Purchased on 29th May 2017.
