Need help, the Apple is saying they will not cover my macbook pro with the NVIDA graphics card because they say it is the logic board issue. They state that they are expecting a chime when it powers on but they are not hearing it. Before I brought it in and after I brought it in I can power it on and hear a chime and the computer will still sync with my firewire harddrive as well as play a DVD (I can only hear sound as the internal and external screens are black) My question is how can it be a logic board issue if the computer will still sync and will still play a dvd? And how can I power it on each time and hear a chime but they claim to hear nothing?

That most definitely sounds like a graphics issue, although that might be grouped with the logic board if it is a 13" model.
