Hi

I'm still really new to the whole mac thing so all of this is a learning experience. Am currently at my parent's house for Christmas and am having issues connecting to their wireless network, since my reinstall of Snow Lepoard last week.

On starting Mac OS I get asked if I would like to join the wireless network and am prompted to enter the password.

Once I do this, there is a network time out and the network disappears. It can only be found again by turning off airport and then turning it back on.

It also seems that after a few minutes, airport loses all wireless networks.

I have a mid 2009 15" MBP, but it has only been used for about 3 months now. I really like the design and function, but since getting it I have had nothing but trouble.

I usually reset the router.

If you are having problems, it could be that there is a chordless phone in the home on the same frequency blocking your connection.
