Sorry if this has been discussed a million times but I can't find anything relating to my experience.
Yes, its an old device, mid 2010. But it has been fine like forever. Still get security updates but the OS is High Sierra 10.13.6.
I am not a heavy user. No photo stuff except viewing. I do a lot of spreadsheets with Numbers. Quite a lot of Youtube videos. The usual email stuff. And I utilise iCloud for everything.
What I have noticed is that the PC works fine while I am actually using it, but when I stop and the screensaver and then sleep kicks in, the fans run wild. I reset the SMC a couple of times and it seems to be better (unless its my imagination) for a short while. Then it starts again.
Anyone seen this scenario or have any suggestions please?
