I'm super impressed with the performance and battery life. In fact, the MBA/MBP is more powerful than my Desktop Core i7 with 8 cores and a 2080 RTX Super (well, not the graphics part). I currently have a Razer Blade Stealth with the 1650 ti graphics card. I love this laptop but it's not as powerful as the M1. Would the MBP M1 satisfy my needs for an all around laptop, which includes gaming on the go? I understand that Bootcamp doesn't work, but my understanding is that Rosetta 2 performs about the same or better than current Intel chips. So would it be possible to install Windows under virtualization? Even though I have a gaming desktop, it would be nice to be able to play some games on a powerful small notebook like the MBP.

Rosetta 2 will run apps that have been compiled for MacOS x86.

It is not possible to run Windows under virtualization on the ARM Macs. The best we can probably hope for in the future is a Windows emulator.

The M1 should run well all the iOS games in Apple arcade if that's all people are interested in.
