My 2020 M1 MBP went to sleep after idle time, and when it woke up, the native display did not come back.
The machine is working normally, besides its native display being blank. External display works fine.
The display lights up, and brightness controls work, but no picture is displayed. The computer detects the native display normally, and CLI utilities show it is "alive". The touch bar lights up and works. I can connect to this mac remotely without issues, and I'm using it to type this message.
I have tried all known SMC/PRAM/VRAM tricks, and also tried reviving it with DFU and Apple Configurator. Nothing worked.
Could the screen have simply died out of the blue? Is there something else I could try, besides bringing it to Apple support?
