The lack of a Space Black finish on the Pro iPhone is curious. Since the darkest iPhone Pro finish is now Deep Blue it's made me wonder... Will Apple bring the Deep Blue finish to the next MacBook Pro? It's probably unlikely we'll see a Cosmic Orange MacBook Pro, but since some have expressed a desire to have the MacBook Air's Midnight finish on the Pro line, could Deep Blue be Apple's answer? Dubious speculation of course. Personally, Apple sticking with Space Black on the MacBook Pro and iPad is definitely the way to go...but no black iPhone Pro raises a 🚩 to me.

iPhone 17 Pro vs. iPhone 14 Pro

I mean, A 16" MBP in Cosmic Orange would certainly be a statement... I've always preferred the color of Midnight in the MacBook Airs to Space Black in the Pros, but not how badly it shows every smudge. I guess we'll have to see how Deep Blue is with fingerprints.

May favorite color of any Apple "Pro" device hands down was the Pacific Blue iPhone 12 Pro. It was perfect.

I'm not going to lie. For pro laptops, Apple should stick with silver and black. I can't see myself I a corporate meeting with a Cosmic Orange MacBook Pro.

The MacBook Air, yes 100%. I'd buy a cosmic Orange MacBook Air in a heart-beat.

ASUS does have the TUF series that does have the hint of orange.

Then hackintosh it!!!!
I already have an Apple desktop and laptop. I have no interest in spending countless hours fussing around trying to polish a turd. 😆

I got this thing specifically to work with a few things that required Windows. Unfortunately, having a Windows computer means having to constantly update the OS, drivers, and software I didn't even know was installed nor what it does... just to get rid of the annoying update notifications.

But it LOOKS great. LOL!!

😂 I run a VM on my Mac instead!

Would be nice to bring back the Titanium Powerbook concept for the Pro notebooks and offer colors in different shades. It could be a Titanium/Aluminium alloy to keep the weight down. Then, they could have a classic silver finish perhaps also adding an alternative lighter color like silver & blue and a darker color to finish (name it like "Silver Titanium" and "Azure Titanium" and "Gun Metal Titanium"). They do the Gun Metal Titanium finish on the Ultra Watch. Naming is important to add a premium value to the product. When Steve came out with the Titanium Powerbook ..it chimed with the word TITANIC....just the thought oozing with class and premium quality. Sorry...but .. "Space Grey" or "Space Black" to me doesn't cut it. Who the hell came up with those names? Apple need to spend more premium time for naming colors on their premium products. "Cosmic Orange" is getting adventurous but questionable for a pro machine in a traditional corporate environment. To be fair, creative people may find this color appealing, but I feel Apple should offer a wider and higher level of sophisticated color finishes to their pro products.

My first Apple laptop was the titanium PowerBook G4. I loved it. Then the hinges started cracking. I don't think Apple's going back to titanium. For a time it appeared as though Apple was researching switching to carbon fiber. But it became obvious that aluminum was the best at dispersing heat & I'm not sure how environmentally friendly carbon fiber is.

That would still have the same problem (OS/software updates for Windows, etc.). But more importantly, I think I paid less for the entire laptop (which already includes Windows OS installed) than the cost of buying Parallels or whatever and having to deal with driver issues and unsupported hardware.

Indeed if you run VM you have to use an iso image with the newer version to update it. Or windows update

I use VMware fusion that one you can get it for free. The other free one that is made only for macOS users is UTM. That is purely built from the ground up for mac users.
