Both current MBP and rMBP lines support 16GB of RAM, what trouble do you seem to be having?

If you get two 8 GB 204-pin DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM modules, you can use 16 GB of RAM in all MBPs since 2011 except the MacBook Pro with Retina Display line.

The retina display is the only one you cannot upgrade -- because the RAM is soldered onto the mother board.
