Hi, in a new job I will be fairly mobile and working between a few sites, there is a big possibility that I will need Autodesk Maya - objects will be imported and animated from solid works, textured with jpgs and the standard presets in mental ray/ Arnold and then rendered in HD and 4K, I am asking if the high end 13" MacBook Pro will suffice or the entry level 15" MacBook Pro?

15" MBP is considerably better for that sort of work due to the quad core CPU & dGPU; it has a lot more horsepower. The 13" might run it but it's better to err on the side of caution.

You’ll be pretty limited speed wise on the 13 inch and you would probably be better off with the higher level 15 inch if only for storage (4K and 3D use a lot of storage space) the quadcore and the 460 are a big upgrade and will help you a lot as well so may be worth looking at that. This is a business purchase and any money spent on performance and enhancement should pay you back in time saved fairly quickly.
