Hi all,
5 days ago I've bought a new 15" macbook pro retina, due to the fact that my old 17" macbook pro (2010) broke down. Since I'm always working upstairs and i don't have wifi there I'm always working on the cable, with my 17" as well as my 15".
Well here comes the problem. I've bought a retina with a thunderbolt to ethernet adapter. When i put the cable in the internet is working fine on my macbook pro. But downstairs the television starts lagging. My assumption is that my macbook is taking all the bandwidth.
My 17" macbook pro never had this problem, and the only difference was that it had an ethernet port build inside.
When I use my retina macbook on Wi-Fi downstairs I don't have problems at all.
What I've tried so far:
1.
- Removing my wifi and ethernet adapters from the settings/connections
- Reboot
- Added them again
2.
- Disabled my wi-fi and only used the cable, since I read that in yosemite the ethernet and wi-fi sometimes conflict.
Anyone who knows how to fix this? I think its in my macbook since my 17" was running Yosemite as well and didn't have this problem...
Sorry for my english, I'm dutch!
Greets,
Wouter
