From what I understand. All the new Intel Macs use exactly the same type of memory and specs.

I purchased a MBP yesterday and wanted to pick up an extra 1GB of RAM. I like Crucial so I went to their site. The price of memory for the Macbook Pro went from $147 yesterday to $162 today. I spoke to CSR and they told me that the price of memory fluctuates, based on supply/demand, on an hourly basis. I was so pissed!

Then I went and looked at the memory for iMac Core Duo. Low and behold the price for a 1GB stick was $138. This memory is the exact same module and specs as the Macbook Pro memory. So purchased it at $138.

The only reason that I can think that the price increased on the Macbook Pro memory was because there was a lot of purchases made yesterday after the 'Boot Camp' release.

Still it was a shocking discovery!!
