R roanmy macrumors member Original poster Nov 10, 2011 60 15 Feb 8, 2013 #1 So I just updated my MBP Mid-2009 from 4GB to 8GB, and I'm wondering if it will be a good idea to upgrade to ML? Only if it's a gain though, I'm not interested in doing it if it slows the machine down or anything.

M makaveli559m macrumors 6502 Apr 30, 2012 313 0 Feb 8, 2013 #2 On a 2009 model I had problems with it making it over heat that it would shut down, sometimes the fans would be on high for no reason. With Lion it would run smooth and fast and be cool to the touch.
