Hello-

Need your opinion and suggestion. I have a mint condition MacBook Pro Mid 2009 version that was barely used by my wife when purchased in 2009/2010.

I would like to update it and restore it so that I can utilize for basic email, web surfing and maybe light photo editing.

I recently restored it to its latest OS and it is tremendously slow. Any suggestions in terms of RAM or Hard Drive upgrades.

Is it worth it?

Thanks

2 upgrades for the Mid 2009:
SSD replacing the old hard drive
upgrade RAM to maximum 8GB (particularly if it has only 2 GB of RAM installed)
The SSD will make the largest difference, and will make a 9-year old laptop feel like new (more responsive than when it really was new!)
A nice Crucial BX300 SSD, or a SAMSUNG 860 EVO should be a good choice.
