Hi guys,

So here's the problem: I have a mid 2010 macbook pro. It has been running great with no issues. Recently, however, my battery started having issues. It would get low, I would plug in the adaptor, and would get a 'not charging' status. Sometimes I'd have to leave it plugged in for several hours for it to start charging. Then finally it stopped charging altogether, remaining with the green light and 'not charging' status indefinitely.

I've tried everything possible on these forums, resetting the SMC and everything else. Finally from what information I was able to gather, I decided it was time to get a new battery (Mine was already well over 1,000 cycles at this point).

So I got a replacement battery and installed it myself. Booted up the computer and guess what, exact same problem. The adaptor just stays with the green light and the computer reads 'not charging'.

Anything else I can try before heading to the shop? Thanks so much for any info, much appreciated.
