MacBook Pro Mid 2010 Trackpad issues

Hello world. I'm having trackpad issues on my MB. From time to time, the trackpad will act as if I were pressing it, selecting everything in the direction I move my finger. Has anyone experienced similar problems?

mmm, can't say I have but just out of curiosity do you have tap to click turned on?

I have the same issues. Very annoying. Same with the magic trackpad.

If all else fails, try re-installing the OS, or boot from an external HD if possible

I had the same issues myself~!
I took it to the Apple Store, and they replaced the trackpad. It did not solve the problem
I've reinstalled snow leopard, and it does not do it BEFORE updating the software to the support for the magic trackpad.

I have the opposite problem - my trackpad won't physically click half the time.

I've heard it may be due to a swollen battery.
