Macbook Pro Mid 2012 13" vs 15". CS:GO very slow on 15"

I loaded CS:GO and tried to play them on both laptops. The 13" performed much better and relatively smooth. The frame rate was probably 25-30. The 15" was very glitchy and not playable at all. The frame rate was probably 1 fps or less. I don't get it. Processing power and graphics is better in the 15". Did the Nvidia graphics processor kick in? Is there a website to run cpu/gpu benchmarks for macs? or do i need to download an app?

What is the resolution on both screens? And does this game support acceleration from an AMD GPU?

resolution of the screens is maxed out 1280 x 800 on the 13" and 1440x900 on the 15". I have the NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M chip in the 15". in csgo the resolution is set to 1024x768.
