Hi,

Can you put a 1tb HDD in a MacBook Pro mid 2012?

Now as far as I know, MacBooks can support pretty much any size of hard drive as long as MacOS supports the size and seeing as some models of the MBP mid 2012 had 1TB hdd why shouldn't a 500gb model fit a 1TB drive?

Please could anyone let me know if they have had any issues or if you have attempted this with a 1TB hdd in your MBP.

Many Thanks in advance.

Thats what I thought but it is still being said that only unto 750gb drives work in the 2.5GHz model?

No it will take any size 2.5 inch sata 3 connected drive. I will say do not replace the HDD, its a waste of money when for a few more dollars an SSD will turn it into a like new computer.
