MacBook Pro Mid 2012 HDD noise

Hello, there's coming some sound from my HDD which sounds like an extra fan. This sound becomes mute however when I rest my palm on the right side of my macbook. So is this normal or is my HDD maybe not screwed tight enough or something?

Can anyone just listen, then lay their palm on their macbook, and then see if the noise dampens. This is probably only with a macbook pro with a normal hard drive and not an SSD

Thanks, but I'm wondering why the sound dampens when you put your hand on it. I mean, does my stop something from resonating, or is there too much space between the housing and the hdd or something and that the sound stops when I push the housing to the HDD with my palm.

I have a 2012, and I don't notice sound coming from the hard drive during normal operation.
