Hello All,

I have a 2012 Macbook Pro (retina), which is starting to have the screen problem that so many others did a few years ago. At the moment it's just in the centre, but it bugs me.

Has anyone had theirs replaced recently? Or some idea of how much a screen replacement on a 2012 model might cost me?

Thanks!

PS> Yes, I know it's 6 years old, but it's still snappy for everything that I use it for, and it works a treat. I more or less maxed-out the specs when I bought it, and it's still terrific.

Back in the day I had mine replaced by Apple covered by AppleCare. I think I asked about the cost and it was around $700.

If you're handy with tools, you can likely find one on eBay or ifixit for pretty cheap.
