With a SMC Reset came back to life.

Today the MacBook on Sierra with the latest "security updates" won't turn on, it was just dead, no response at all. In the last 10 years never a Apple computer has done that, at least for me, neither I had to use a SMC Reset as my last resort. Lucky of me, that fixed the problem or that's what it seems.

This were the symptoms before this happened:

Had to restart the MacBook for wifi, bluetooth and AirDrop to work every time that the MacBook Pro was in sleep mode for more than 6 hours.

I run the Apple Hardware Test and there was no problems, any other recommendation that you can suggest will be appreciated.

Boot into the Recovery Drive and run Disk Utility First Aid on your drive.

Do you have Apple Care? I'm not sure if you have to have Apple Care to get disgnostics done on your MBP, but make an appointment with the Genius bar to get your Mac checked out. Check your service and support coverage here: https://checkcoverage.apple.com/

Always have a good backup plan in case of drive failure. If you don't have a clone backup it's time to start. Just like a seat belt and an air bag protect you in different ways when driving, you need both Time Machine and a clone for full protection.

Software used to Clone:

CarbonCopyCloner http://www.bombich.com/download.html (All options are available free for 30 days)

SuperDuper! http://www.shirt-pocket.com/ (Free forever to do an erase and install. Purchased version allows for smart updates and schedules)
