macbook pro monitor adapters

i have one of the latest 17inch macbook pro laptops, and im looking to buy a screen to use with it, but which is the best adapter to buy?
vga, dvi or hdmi?

The screen i was going to get catered for all 3, but i was just wondering which works the best with the laptop.

DVI. There is no HDMI adapter for minidisplay port (that isn't like $179)
