We have a Netgear WNDR4300 wireless router that has a ReadySHARE USB port on it. To that I have connected a 4TB WD My Book HD that is split into 5 partitions. When I open Finder on my MacBook, there are a couple of things I notice...

1) Netgear mentions that there should be a READYSHARE listing under the SHARED section in the sidebar. Well, I have a READYSHARE listing and a READYSHARE(FOR TIME MACHINE) listing. Why the two listings? Is there a way to just hide the both of these from the shown on the SHARED section of the machines connected to the router?

2) Under both listings, I am able to see all five partitions listed as shares and in the top part of the right-hand pane, it says CONNECTED AS: GUEST. While connected as guest I am able to click and open any of the partitions and create/delete folders. I would like to have them protected by username/password. I would REALLY like for the partitions to not even be listed/visible when clicking READYSHARE in the sidebar.

3) One of my partitions is a COMMON partition and it was created with the thought of it being a common work area for all connected machines on the router. The entire partition would be openly accessible to all of those users but not outside users when accessed through the ReadySHARE web access. We would like to have one folder on the COMMON share that is the only one accessible to outside users accessing the partition through the ReadySHARE web access. The idea is so that we can stage files there for download by friends/family that may need something... I hope that was explained clearly.

4) Netgear support it telling me that if I set the read/write permissions to ADMIN instead of ALL, that we will be promoted for the router's admin username/password each time we access the share. However, it seems like if I map the drive as a persistent drive it should store the username/password, right? Netgear support cannot give me a straight answer on that one.

5) Is there some way to setup access to each partition on a per user level? Right now, if I set the read/write permissions to ADMIN and then enter the router's admin username/password to connect to a share, its going to give me access to all five of them. That kind of defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to do.

6) What is the share that Netgear puts out there automatically listed as \\READYSHARE\USB_STORAGE? It is listed as an EFI partition? Is that on the external drive be default? I have it set to NOT SHARED right now in ReadySHARE.

Sorry for so many questions, but we're new to setting this up and appreciate the help!
