I just wanted some users who have a new macbook pro to answer this.
After i close my macbook pro screen to put it to sleep the fans still run for about 3-5 seconds then turn off, is that normal?

just wondering?

The laptop hasn't completely gone to sleep as soon as you close the lid. It takes a few seconds.

If memory serves me correct, which it might not, and if the person who told me this was right, which he might not be, the delay is due to the computer writing information to the ram.

It's so that if your battery runs out while it's being transported or whatever, once you hook it up to a power source again it'll be able to continue the state that you left it in.

The more memory you have, the longer it takes.
