MacBook Pro newb here, any quick tips etc, that might be valuable?

As in, I've used Windows, my whole life (I'm 24), and know computer basics, but not exactly, the not so popular, but useful, features of my new MacBook Pro, that the average uneducated Mac user wouldn't know.

I'm sure there has been a million threads on this, so please bear with me, as I've only lurked the threads here for about a month, and haven't exactly figured out what is, or isn't frowned upon here.

Try it, it is reversible by pressing the keys again. It is just a visual aid function as it ....... the screen colours.
