So basically, I'm waiting for the MBP refresh to possibly consider getting one.

My question is regarding loading windows 7 on either bootcamp or vmware. Which one would be better? I would like to either play a couple of games, use sopcast or other p2p streaming software, and use any other software mac may not support. Vmware to do this stuff seems more convenient. Hope its possible while I transition over to MAC.

Ok forget gaming, I'm not a huge pc gamer. I use a game console like ps3 for that.

So yea, basically p2p streaming software and say newsreaders like newsbin? Can vmware handle that?

Yea, easily. Only heavy stuff like gaming and video editing work a lot better in Bootcamp. Check CrossOver as well, it lets you run Windows apps in OS X
