Macbook Pro: No audio from built-in speakers (unless rebooted)

Running Sequoia - MacOS 15.6.1 on my 15" MBP 2001 (M1 Pro): I've noticed some days when I open the lid, audio won't play through the built-in speakers. However, audio plays fine through my Airpods and Homepod via bluetooth.

Once I reboot, the built-in speakers work fine.

Any ideas what's causing this?
