So I was listening to some music on my headphones, and then the music muted for a second and then unmuted. Straight after that like 5 seconds later the music stopped. So i unplugged the jack and there was no sound. I looked into my audio jack and there was no red light either and also NO volume locking. I need help... I restarted my computer and i noticed that the start up sound was muted as well. I've already checked all the settings they arn't muted.. so wtf is going on with my macbook pro !

Check System Preferences > Sound > Output or OPTION/Alt click the sound/volume icon in the Menu Bar and tell us, what is listed and checked as Output Device.

Make sure your speaker volume is turned up and that iTunes volume is turned up, and that you've selected the internal speakers in iTunes.

No sound is working.. even youtube even itunes .. No sound is working at all I just checked and yeah nothings working.

And I assume you've tried plugging/unplugging your headphones several times? Restarted your computer more than once? There's now no sound, even from headphones?
