Will this be compatible to replace my macbook pro's main hdd, as well as throwing one into the optical bay slot?

I need my mac to remain 100% stable, as it is a live production machine.

4TB would eliminate the need for externals though, which excites me greatly.

But "Shipping now" and finding one are 2 different things!

I only just got the HGST 1.5TB drive that was released in May 3 weeks ago!!

Nowhere had them in stock. :eek:
 
Depending on what MBP you have though the 6gb SATA link may not be supported in the superdrive bay.
 
Well, it's the last model made before retina took over. Think that makes it a 2012, and 15 in. Thoughts?

Gosh I hope they have these drives on the market soon!

SATA speed shouldn't matter with these drives unless your running raid.

But even then I don't think it matters.

As far as I know the 2012 models have no problems with SATA speeds.
