I have a problem with my moms MacBook pro (2010, 2.4 i5 with 320 GB 5400 rpm HDD and 8 GB RAM). I was browsing the web with safari and a few tabs when the computer froze, with the spinning beachball. I forced quit safari, and it seemed to be fine. So I shut the lid so it could go to sleep. But it wouldn't. I noticed it was still running a few minutes later. When I opened the screen, there was a black screen with the mouse being the spinning beachball. I couldn't do anything, the keyboard wasn't doing anything, so I power killed the computer. (held down power button until it shut off). Now I can't get it to turn on. It chims and gets to the apple logo with the spinning icon, but won't get past this. Does anyone know what I should do?

Thanks for the reply. It appears that after sitting for the five minutes it took me to write that post, it fixed its self. It booted up normally and is working fine.
