Hi everybody, I know this is not the first thread about this but every situation seems different and mine should be a quick one.

My MBP is a mid 2009 Unibody 15''. 2.8 GHz, 8GB RAM.

My MBP won't charge with any adapter (tried with others adapters, and my adapter works on other MBPs). Yesterday morning I unplugged (unfortunately can't remember if the green/orange light was on) it and took it to a lecture, where I used it on battery mode (unplugged) until the battery died. My trackpad wasn't working properly (it wasn't the little torx screw inside, it really didn't click), so I had a new one delivered and it arrived just while I was in the lecture.
So, when I got home, fist thing I do is open my MBP, take the battery out and replace the trackpad. Then I put everything back together and plug the adapter to boot it, as I knew it was dead. The plug didn't charge and the MBP didn't boot. When I looked more closely, I noticed there was a dim flickering green light on the adapter cable end.

Other interesting facts:
1) If I plug an adapter on another MBP, then plug it back to my MBP, the light stays solid green/orange (stays the same colour it was when I unplugged it from the 'working' MBP). But for just like a minute or two, then it goes back to dim and flickering.
2) I tried replacing the internal DC-in board with a working one from another MBP and the 'working' MBP worked with my DC-in board as well, whereas my MBP did not work, regardless of which DC-in board I used.
3) I tried taking apart the two MBPs (mine and my flatmate's) until I basically had the two logic boards in my hands plus the two DC-in boards (and other stuff that sits on the logic board: fans, heat sink, speaker, RAMs). The 'working' one showed a solid light when plugged like that (just logic board+DC-in board), and mine would just show a dim light, regardless of which of the DC-in boards I was using my logic board with.
4) While taking the battery out, a screwdriver slipped through my hands and hit the logic board not very hard, plus I checked the hit area and it didn't show any damage.
5) Around a week ago I replaced my Superdrive with a HD slot, to have extra storage. It worked fine.
6) My primary HD (OS HD) is not the original one from apple, but I replaced it like two years ago and it had always worked fine.
7) Apple Genius Bar is not available until 29th October, but they told me to show up early in the morning and they may just slip me in. I doubt that it will be of any help, but I will give it a shot anyway.
EDIT: 8) Without the battery and without the adapter plugged in, the little battery indicator on the left side of the computer will do nothing. But if I plug the adapter in, the first greed light will just blink for as long as I keep the button pressed. I assume that means that power is making its way through magsafe adaptor, magsafe DC-in board and at least part of the logic board?

So my theory is that my logic board is toast. I just need somebody who is an expert to confirm this. I think I'll buy a new one, it's just not worth it to replace the logic board.

Thanks so much for any support!
