MacBook Pro not recognizing HDMI Cable

It worked yesterday, I would plug the HDMI cable into my HDMI Adapter then plug into the computer and the computer would automatically recognize the TV screen and my TV would mirror my desktop. The only thing that has changed is I did the Safari 7.0.3 update yesterday. Any help? Thanks in advance.

Go in system preferences, displays, and click detect displays with the HDMI cable plugged in.
