H heyjoe macrumors newbie Original poster May 1, 2014 2 0 SF Bay Area May 1, 2014 #1 Hi all. Need some help with this. When I startup my MacBook Pro - 15" w Retina, it automatically opens MS Word. I've tried closing Word before shutdown but it keeps coming back. Any suggestions on how I can fix this? Thanks in advance. Joe

T thundersteele macrumors 68030 Oct 19, 2011 2,984 9 Switzerland May 1, 2014 #2 Check "System Preferences" -> "Users and Groups" -> "Login Items" If Word is listed there, delete it by pressing the minus sign.
