hi guys,
i am newbie at MR but have been reading the threads quite often.
Now i need to buy a notebook.
i have a been a windows user since my first computer and am using a toshiba right now.
With the launch of the iphone i am quite attracted to apple products.
Do you think if i bought a pro i will like it.
I am a basic user-downloading,music/.....and yes i cannot leave windows totally(boot camp-Does windows run perfectly as on a windows pc-wht about the new trackpad how will i drag and drop things.)

Do you think a macbook pro will do for me or a HP dv5t(approx. 1500$)
which has everythink in it including bluray,4gbram, memory and fingerprint reader and all the available ports(i sometimes connect a bravia lcd tv with my laptop, how will i connect it using macbbok pro),the ports are totally different?
do people just hype apple MBP or is it really good.
Thanks everyone

The Mac OS is the reason that people choose Macs over PCs. However, you should try it out before you make a choice. Go to the nearest Apple Store or Best Buy to see it in person. Also, the Apple site has a lot of tutorials that you can take a look at. If you want the Mac OS, then you need to get a MacBook or MacBook Pro, which will eliminate your dilemma on which notebook to choose.

if anyone who has made a transition pls specify ,
what more does macbook pro has over other laptops.
Will i be able to run vista perfectly

I switched from Windows to OS X last year. No regrets. I run XP in BootCamp & Parallels.

Do a search; there are endless threads asking and answering your question.
