I have a mid 2014 macbook Pro retina display. One day, it overheated and stopped working. The folder with a question mark appeared when I tried to start it up, which I found out means the hard drive was spoilt. I went to get it checked and was told that the problem is my faulty hard drive and it may cause my laptop to overheat. Thus, I went and spent alot of money on a new ssd and had it replaced, and the same problem happened (overheating and in Internet recovery mode, the mac cannot find a hard drive location to reinstall macos).

What other reasons could there be for my macbook overheating so badly and not reading my hard drives? Need help with this. Thanks

It is not clear why you think that your Mac is overheating. What you describe are symptoms of defective SSD or other components that are related to the SSD. Did you have your issue diagnosed by a competent technician? Did you reinstall the SSD on your own or was it part of a repair procedure?
