Hi Ladies/Gentlemen!

So, to begin the story, I installed rEFInd on my MacBook Pro (a mid/late 2015 build, IIRC), and installed Linux on a new partition (partition created during Linux installation process) of the 120GB SSD.

Lot's of stuff happened between then and now, but I'm now in a situation where I can only boot from a Live USB (using the key), or boot via internet recovery mode (cmd + r). If I press nothing, I'm taken to a GRUB rescue screen (GRUB2 I think, based on the names of the filetypes). I've run checks in GParted (Linux's equivalent of diskutil), and checked via the terminal in Internet Recovery Mode re: the partitions health and status, which seems to show they're past the point of recovery. I don't have use of sudo commands in the Internet Recovery Mode's Terminal, sudo only works in the Linux Live USB's Terminal. I also seem to have lost the recovery partition that was pre-installed on the MacBook when I bought it. I don't have a disk drive, nor CD, to reinstall from.

My question is: If I wipe the SSD, either via the DiskUtilility GUI in Internet Recovery Mode, or with GParted on the Linux Live USB, will I be able to still use the cmd+r function on startup to be able to reinstall OS Sierra via Internet Recovery Mode, or will I lose use of the command and option functions on startup all together?

I have a feeling it'll be an easy fix, considering I'm not worried about losing the content of the SSD, I just want to do a hard reset. But because I don't have sudo privileges in IRM Terminal, I'm worried it could be more complex. I don't have another MacBook, so reinstalling via another isn't an option unless I pay a professional to do it for me.

Thanks for your time, and if you need any more info' please let me know :) Cheers!
