Hi. I'm from the UK and I am going to NY in a couple of weeks and intend to buy a macbook pro. As I understand it, the US keyboard isn't much different (I have been using a canadian laptop toshiba for while and it is no biggie). What I'd like to know is the situation with the power adapter. What I am going to need for UK operation and what is it going to cost?

Thanks for any help.

All you'll need is the 3 pin plug bit to plug into the wall. If you have an iPod Mains charger then you can use the plug off that.

I'm afraid I am an old school USB charging kinda guy. Can you get these 3-pin adapters separately do you know?

Some will tell you to spend £30 on the Travel adapter set.

I say just spend £19 on a Mains iPod charger and then you'll have something useful!

Unless you can pick one up on ebay.
