macbook pro powers off

I have a 2010 macbook pro that recently just started turning off on me. I can sometimes get it turn on and when it does about 15 seconds into boot it powers off. I tried the smc reset and it seemed like it worked. But my fans would be at max and it didnt seem to register a charge. Im not sure what could be wrong with, ive barely used it. My battery is fine last time i checked it was at 88-90% life wise.

Have you ever monitored the temperatures? If not try iStat Pro.

It might be over heating and shutting off to avoid damage.

Edit: I thought you said after 15 minutes -_-

Not heat if it's been off and turns off after 15 seconds. Sorry.
